OBRAS Studio began over 20 years ago as an idea for a multi-disciplinary practice, engaging all facets of design and the design process. Its focus on Architecture, Urban frameworks, Interior Design, Landscape, and Art define Obras Studio as a layered collaborative with the ability to create seamlessness between design elements. Obras’ initial inception, now brings to the Studio a wide range of experience from some of Miami’s most esteemed practices.

OBRAS is an award-winning, all-inclusive studio, providing all participants and collaborators a supportive and encouraging environment for working together to achieve the highest possible outcome. At OBRAS Studio we acknowledge these times we are in are critical in reframing the narrative of design in relation to economies, the natural world, and the overall human experience.

Giselle Coujil

Giselle is a designer and adjunct professor who has been dedicated to the disciplines of Design and Architecture throughout her career. She received a Master of Architecture from the University of Florida and has worked at several notable local firms. Most recently, Giselle was Vice President of a prominent Design and Architecture Studio before co-founding Obras and resuming her teaching career at FIU. She has practiced in both the fields of Architecture and Interiors equally and believes in a congruous approach to design, addressing Architecture, Interiors, and Landscape simultaneously.

Omar Moreno

RA, RID, LEED AP

Omar is a licensed Architect in the States of Florida, South Carolina, New York, and Pennsylvania. Before co-founding Obras Studio, Omar was Managing Principal at R+O Studio and worked at various corporate firms. Omar was an Adjunct Professor of Architecture at Florida International University, Miami Dade College and Broward College. Academically, Omar taught design and lecture courses such as History of Architecture and Methods of Construction. Professionally, he worked on a number of projects of varying size and complexity. His full attention is now on the continual development and growth of Obras Studio as an emerging leader in Architecture, Interiors and Product Design.
